Emergency Water Damage & Flood Restoration in Sydney

When water is spreading through your home right now — a burst flexi-hose under the sink, a washing-machine hose that's let go, storm water through the roof, or flooding through the ground floor — it's an emergency, and the clock starts the moment it happens. drySafe handles emergency water damage restoration across Sydney, fully self-serve — you book and pay online, with no callback or quote to arrange first.

  • Measured to the IICRC S500 dry standard
  • Documented for your insurer
  • Self-serve — book online

Water damage is rarely as contained as it looks. Within the first hours it soaks down through carpet into the underlay, wicks up the base of plasterboard walls, and tracks along the subfloor and into timber framing — well beyond the wet patch you can actually see. That hidden spread is what turns a manageable spill into warped boards, lifting skirting, odour and lasting structural repair. It's also why what happens in the first day counts for more than almost anything that comes later.

What happens on an emergency job

Restoration done properly is a sequence, not a mop and a fan pointed at the damp. On a drySafe job it runs in order, and each step earns the next:

1

Assessment — we map how far the water has actually travelled using moisture readings, and check the water category, so the plan matches the real spread rather than the surface.

2

Extraction — the standing and absorbed water is drawn out of carpet, underlay and hard floors before drying starts, because you can't dry a room that's still holding water.

3

Drying — high-velocity air movers push air across the wet materials while a dehumidifier pulls the released moisture out of the room, so the structure itself dries rather than just the surface skinning over.

4

Verified dry — readings taken against the IICRC S500 dry standard confirm the home is genuinely back to normal, and the result is documented for your own records and your insurer.

What's included

Two levels, so the response scales to how deep the water went:

drySafe Basic covers the emergency essentials: high-velocity air movers and a surface moisture assessment — enough to begin drying the affected materials and to see where the water has reached.

  • High-velocity air movers
  • Surface moisture assessment

drySafe Care adds dehumidification and full moisture analytics, tracking the dry-down through to a verified, documented result. It's the option when water has gone deep or reached materials that hold moisture and need measuring over days, not hours.

  • Dehumidification
  • Moisture analytics

Across Greater Sydney

drySafe works throughout Greater Sydney — the City of Parramatta, Cumberland, Ryde and The Hills among the council areas covered. Booking is built to be simple: booked and paid for online, with no callback to arrange.

What it costs

A traditional water-damage response usually starts with a paid call-out — around $499 for someone to attend and quote before any work happens. drySafe replaces that step with a fixed online price: book and pay online from $302, with no assessment fee. Booking online instead of paying for a traditional call-out saves you nearly 40%.

*From-prices are per room and exclude GST, any after-hours surcharge and package upgrades. After-hours surcharges are calculated at the time of booking based on drySafe's business-hours schedule.

FAQ

How does booking drySafe work?

drySafe is fully self-serve — you book and pay online and it's confirmed online, with no callback, quote or call-out fee to arrange first.

How long does drying take?

It depends on how much water there was, how far it soaked, and the materials involved — a light soak dries quickly, while a saturated timber floor or concrete slab takes longer. The job is finished when moisture readings confirm the home is back to its normal dry standard, not just dry to the touch.

Do I need to leave home during the work?

In most cases, no. The drying equipment runs while you go about your day. If it's safer to relocate for a while, let drySafe know so it can be coordinated around you.

Can you document the job for my insurer?

Yes. drySafe records moisture readings and photos through the dry-down, so you have a documented result for your own records and to share with your insurer.

Drying is what pulls the water back out of the materials. Readings confirm when it's done.
